Alfredo Häberli Design Development

In designing these glasses, I became aware of how much more I could do compared to my first series (Essence, 2002). Senta was three times harder, but because of my experience and research, it went ten times faster. The details are practically invisible: the gentle curve of the goblet connects to the wafer-thin, conical stem, which then flows parallel into a flat base. The underside of the base has a facetted edge that catches the light and allows the glass to hover millimetres above the table.
