How many dishes do I need at home? What do I need for everyday life? What do I require for festive occasions? Can I use a bowl as a soup plate, too? Why do we use what we call salad bowls to serve pasta or dessert? How much room will the edge of a plate take away from the actual serving space?
The idea behind my porcelain tableware Seefeld was to lend every piece its own character thanks to different facetings. Their shapes not only enlargen the serving surface visually; the four pieces meet all requirements. And they are accompanied by two cups, the smaller of which can be used, for instance, to drink espresso. 

How many glasses make sense? Do I need different glasses for different beverages?
Often, differences are minimal - or we are no longer aware of certain table manner rules. One thing, however, remains clear: a beautifully set table calls for a tall-stemmed glass to suggest the festive, the sublime, the precious - and to serve as far more than a highly stylish glass, hand-blown and well-balanced in form, to hold wine, water and even cocktails. A wonderful glass for every day - and always appropriate, for a festive table, a sophisticated wine or a refreshing cocktail.

A knife is to cut, a fork to pierce, a spoon to hold liquid - nonetheless, so much cutlery is only made to please the eye and does not truly deserve the tag «design».
I wanted to design cutlery that would stay with me for a lifetime; fit for every table, a daily pleasure in terms of form and function. After all, these are items that I hold in my hands every day.
