In designing the structural components of the SEC system for Alias, Alfredo Häberli and Christophe Marchand conceded nothing to levity or chance. Two heights only for the elements of the uprights, two measurements only for their width and depth. This limited vocabulary is joined by equally simple standardized elements for the interlocking and attachment of the parts. An open system for mutable furniture, constantly changing, in vital transformation.
